Retro Handmade Dunhuang Glaze Tea Cup - CM023

Handmade in Dehua, China, this vintage ceramic tea cup draws its rugged, antique-inspired character from high-temperature reduction firing at approximately 1300°C. The wood-fired-effect finish creates an irregular, ash-like surface with deep charcoal, smoky grey and earthy brown variations. Raised geometric details, an uneven rim and naturally varied firing marks give the cup a sculptural appearance reminiscent of ancient pottery, making each piece subtly distinctive rather than perfectly uniform.

Its compact 100 ml capacity makes it particularly suited to traditional Kung Fu tea sessions, where smaller, freshly poured servings encourage a slower drinking experience. The low handleless form complements its rustic character, while the textured exterior brings a more tactile quality than ordinary smooth ceramics.
